I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life--Jesus Christ

Why
"But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not. So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do." (Luke 17:7-10)
Most professing Christianity that I have met today, have it all backwards. They behave and live as though the King has told them to sit down and eat, before they have lived for Him. Jesus said they shall eat and drink after they have served Me! The love of our King is that He has provided an eternity in exchange for a moment of our time. The moment will probably last no longer than 80 years.
You may tell me that you are no longer a servant but a son. But I say to you, every disciple that is perfectly trained shall be as his teacher. (Luke 6:40) Jesus did not come to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many. (Matthew 20:28) Paul commanded: Let the same mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, who humbled Himself and became obedient to death, even the death of the cross. (Philippians 2:5-8) Do not lie saying you are a son if you are not serving.
If you sell out to Jesus Christ completely do not foolishly expect Him to thank you in the end for only doing what was your duty to do. He owes you nothing. We owe Him everything.
If you are not willing to die for Him and to lose everything for His sake then you probably are not living for Him. If you are not living for Him, then likely you would not die for Him.
I have carried the cross because a picture is worth a thousand words. I hold up signs to testify of the world that its works are evil and to expose the radical blindness, hardness, and darkness of the modern church. (John 7:7) Jesus' message was "Follow Me." That word follow literally means to be in the same way as another. This happens as we obey Jesus' teachings. Revelation teaches that the saints follow the Lamb wherever He goes. If we are not following Jesus here, we will not follow Him there. I serve Jesus because He is worthy; and that the Lamb who was slain may receive the reward of His suffering. I believe the gospel. People are going to be eternally separated from Jesus in the lake of fire. I want to pull them out. There is more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. (Luke 15:7) I am doing what is my duty to do. It is the duty of every person who is following Jesus to be a light and shine the light of truth upon their family and friends. Jesus will be returning as a thief in the night, coming at an hour least expected. He said: Blessed is the man whose master finds Him serving when he comes. (Matthew 24:46) The parables of the wise and foolish virgins, the talents, and the sheep and the goats, all teach us that we will be judged for what we did or did not do. (Matthew 25) "Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord we persuade men," and, "The love of Christ compels us." (2 Corinthians 5:11, 14) These two forces of terror and love should stir the hearts of every believer unto good works, blazing the reality of an eternal judgment in the consciences of all.
