Many testimonies I keep confidential. So I do not put the
details with a face. To find out details go to home page.
These are the Lacey's. I
stayed with them in
Alexandria, Va. Starting
from left to right we have:
William, Colonel Bill,
Michael, and then Virginia.
I got to spend some quality
time with them and also
lead family devotions. I
met their Pastor at
Engleside Baptist and
shared with the
congregation what I was
doing.
The Harens. I stayed with
them in Fredericksburg,
Va. A lot happened here. I
met Tyler, in the plain
white t-shirt at Easton's
car lot (view the contact
me pg.) and he said I
could stay with him and
his family. From the left
we have Autumn,
Grandma Wanda, top
middle Cale, Diane,
Autumns friend, then
Tyler.
This is Humphrey and
Dorothy. I met them in
Alexandria. We talked
about the word and stirred
each other up in the Lord.
Meet Eric Holtje. I stayed
with him in Vienna after he
picked me up in Stafford.
We carried the cross in
Anacostia, D.C. We were
walking on Pennsylvania
Ave. then shortly after we
crossed over the Anacostia
river a man who was
heavily intoxicated,
without hesitation ran up
to us and began to cuss us
out; telling us that we can't
carry the cross in his
neighborhood. So I said to
Eric, let's go around him.
As we attempted to go he
grabbed my arm and told
me I couldn't go. We
stopped and he got in my
face and began to cuss me
out again, spitting in my
face as he yelled. I kept
looking straight into his
eyes telling him
passionately Jesus loves
you, Jesus died for you, he
finally pushed me back
about 3ft. I continued to
share the Gospel with him.
Then I told Eric lets go
around him again, and he
let us go! After this several
children were hanging out
with us and some even
carried the cross. Two of
them were teenage girls
one name Chloe and the
other Pearl. The boys with
them didn't carry it though.
When we left them to go
our separate ways one girl
ran to the cross and
hugged it for a few
moments. I didn't take my
camera because I was told
that this was a dangerous
part of D.C.
This is Don and Gary. I
stayed with them one
night. I met them in
Woodbridge and stayed
with them in Triangle.
They were deeply inspired
and challenged.
Nancy here drove past me
in Stafford, Va. and told me
that something made her
come back to talk to me.
She told me of a struggle
that her daughter had and I
told her about mine and how
my mom stuck by my side
and kept believing, praying,
and loving me, then we
prayed together. Hope filled
her soul and you can see it
in her eyes.
We all need more courage,
and may we be filled
according to the desire we
have for it! Cool sign
This is Josh and his fiance
Francine. Josh is the
maintenance man for Faith
Gospel Tabernacle in
Alexandria. Francine is the
Associate Pastor. I stayed
the night inside the church!
That was an awesome
experience. I brought my
cross in and laid it down on
the floor, turned off the
lights and the sanctuary got
dark. I then kneeled down
at the foot of the cross and
closed my eyes and when I
did I saw in my mind two
feet nailed to a cross. They
were dirty, bloody, and
bruised. My chest began to
get warm-literally. I was
overwhelmed with a sense
of His passion for me and
YOU!
These men were working
on the road and they
stopped to ask me why I
was carrying a cross.
Hallelujah, I love that
question; because I have
an answer. JESUS LOVES
YOU! HE took your sins,
nailing them to the cross,
then died for you so that
you could have everlasting
life if you believe in Him.
He said, "because I live
you too, shall live." He was
raised from the dead! I
prayed for all of them.
This is Shane. He is a
painter. He shared the
word with me and prayed
for me.
Starting from the left we
have Missy, Pastor Yelton,
Her daughter Hope,
Kristine and her husband.
Pastor is the one who
invited me to stay there.
They saw me walking, so
they stopped to talk with
me.
Stafford is nearly 400
years old.
This is Reverend Floyd
and his wife Janie. I was
walking in ditch on the
side of route one when
they stopped me. They
were inspired and we
prayed together.
In the red we have
Francine and that is me
on the left. Francine
parked about a block
ahead of me then got out
and we talked. This was
a divine moment for her.
She was deeply touched
by the Lord.
That's Johnny and
Belinda. I was leaving
Colonel and Virginia
Lacey's house that
morning and I was
stopping at a gas station to
use the rest room. Before
I went inside I was getting
off of the phone, and it
happened as I was still on
the phone that Johnny said
hey man, can I talk to you
for a moment? I said yes.
So I got off the phone,
looked at him then he
began to confess he had
sinned. I shared the
Gospel with him and he
believed and got saved
that day, Hallelujah! I also
gave him some practical
wisdom and more
Scriptures.

This is Barry Sutherland
and in his own words
which he wrote, this is
what he has to say: "One
Sunday night, I was
flipping through the
channels and saw an
interview with a man who
was carrying a cross. I
found it interesting
enough to watch for a
while . I thought, wow,
what a statement for
Christ!
The next day I met David
on a Monday afternoon,
after seeing a gentleman
on CBN carrying a cross
and telling his story. I
was guided over to him is
the best way for me to
say it. It was almost
surreal because of the
fact I had just seen a man
on tv carrying a cross. I
pulled over to talk to him,
and since my life has not
been the same. I
experienced a deep
healing in my heart from
anger and bitterness. I am
now reaching out to
people around me. I am
involved with my church
and I'm not ashamed of
the Gospel and power of
God in my life! I have
had awesome godly
people praying for me,
reaching out to me my
whole life. David shared
Jesus in a way that helped
me understand the
difference between going
to church and being a
Christian. He taught me
that love is an action. I
know now that not only
does God love each and
every one of us, that He
sacrificed His only Son,
so that if we slip up,
Jesus' blood would
cleanse us from our sins,
but we must seek Him,
trust Him, and obey Him
and Jesus will never
forsake us, and take us to
glory and riches beyond
imagination. Jeremiah
33:3, II Timothy 1:7 and
Philippians 2:5-11 are
some of my favorite
scriptures. I was full of
doubt, fear, and
insecurities. When I really
let go of things that I was
holding on to because of
worldly stimulation it
allowed God to start the
work in me that He wants
to do in everyone in and
of this world. Love His
Son, follow His Word,
love Him with all your
heart, soul, mind, and
strength; and don't forget
to love your neighbor as
you love yourself.
This is Belcher. He was sick
that day. He saw me walking
from South Hill Va. to Norlina,
NC. At the time he was with
his brother. He got out of the
truck and helped me carry the
cross about 4 miles. He was
separated from his wife at the
time and was considering
carrying the cross with me.
We prayed and both felt that he
should stay. Within 2 weeks
him and his wife got back
together and are going to
church! hallelujah!
Another couple of families
that stopped to talk with
me. It was great. The girl
in the pink with the
glasses works with the
youth at her church and
wants to be a youth
Pastor! We all prayed and
words of exhortation and
encouragement were
given.
These are a couple of families
that pulled over to talk with
me. We had such a wonderful
time of prayer and fellowship.
This Duane and his
family. They fed me a
really nice dinner while I
was in Richmond,Va. I
lost miserably at a game
called sattergories.
Meet Doug. He saw me
walking into South Hill and
immediately came after me.
He was so excited. He has a
store and a ministry called
Shepherd's Inn. I stayed with
him two days.
This is 15-yr-old Rashidi from
Richmond, VA. He walked
with me and carried the cross
for a while, and was so very
inspired. He told me he was
going to tell all of his friends
at (public) school about his
"life-changing" experience. He
asked me questions like, "will
I go to hell for listening to rap
music that has bad lyrics in
it"? I told him I don't know,
but what I do know is this,
that if i want to follow Jesus I
don't want to put garbage into
my heart. There is plenty of
Christian rap artist, I would
listen to them. I also know
that we will be judged on our
stewardship. I know that rap
artist who have explicit lyrics
are major contributors to
rape, murder, and
self-destruction and
mutilation. Whom I know
God will judge unless they
repent.
This is the Engleside
Christian School boys' soccer
team. It was such an honor
to speak to them. The one
holding the ball is Michael
Lacey and the boy on the far
right with the gray shirt is his
brother, William. I was so
happy when asked to stay
with them and their parents,
Bill and Virginia, while I was
in Alexandria, VA.
